VMT Quickstart Filing Update

Enter your DOT Number to start MCS-150 Renewal

Motor carriers are required to update their Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) information with the FMCSA every two years as part of the biennial update process.

The biennial update filing deadline is determined by the last two digits of your USDOT number. The last digit indicates the month and the second-to-last digit indicates odd or even year for filing (odd digit = odd year, even digit = even year).

Carriers can complete their VMT update filing online via the FMCSA registration system using their USDOT PIN, or by submitting an updated MCS-150 form by mail or fax.

Failing to complete the biennial VMT update can result in deactivation of your USDOT number and potential fines up to $10,000.

****To calculate fleet mileage, use the total miles traveled by all vehicles registered under your USDOT in 2024****
